Lynne Horoschak at Kennedy Center Graduate Program Manager Attends National Forum
Lynne Horoschak, graduate program manager for the MA in Art Education, recently participated in The National Forum of Thought Leaders on the Intersection of Arts Education and Special Education, a forum at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. addressing the need for a national agenda to deliver the arts to students with disabilities.

IMLS Grant for LTP Prestigious IMLS Grant for Gallery Outreach
The Galleries at Moore have received a three-year, 2012 Museums for America grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) in support of Learning Through Photography (LTP) at Moore. This award will allow The Galleries to further develop LTP into a regional resource hub for arts education and integrated learning strategies, and to extend the program through community arts projects in LTP neighborhoods.

SADI Animations Online SADI Animations Now Online
Animation and illustration students in Moore's Summer Art & Design Institute learn the fundamentals of telling a story through pictures and transforming ideas into creative artwork. The fundamental principles of visual expression and communication are conveyed, ultimately creating an illustrated piece and a unique short digital animation.

Fashion Show Video Up for Viewing Watch the 2012 Fashion Show Videos
Videos from the 2012 Spring Fashion Show, Breaking Away, are now up for viewing on the Moore Website. The fashion show featured innovative collections and designs by seniors, junior and sophomore students of Moore's acclaimed fashion design department.

New Foundation Chair Named New Foundation Chair Named
Lynn Palewicz has been named the new faculty chair of Foundation. She started on August 10. Palewicz received her MFA from the Yale School of Art and her MTA and BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Her work has been exhibited in New York, Connecticut, Washington, DC, Delaware, Maryland, Japan and Toronto. She has also been featured in numerous publications and online.
