Commencement Speaker: Amy Sadao Amy Sadao will be this year’s Commencement speaker. Sadao earned an MA in comparative ethnic studies from the University of California, Berkeley and a BFA from The Cooper Union School of Art. She is currently the Daniel W. Dietrich, II Director of the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) at the University of Pennsylvania. Moore’s 164th Commencement will be held on Sunday, May 19 at 11 am in Aviator Park, across from the College. READ MORE ABOUT AMY SADAO |

Outdoor Banners Three banners will be going up next week on the outside of Moore College of Art & Design’s building just in time for the Spring Fashion Show and Commencement. The artwork for each of the banners was selected through a competitive process in which junior and senior students were invited to submit artwork. A jury consisting of BFA Department Chairs and the Academic Dean reviewed the submissions and selected the artwork that was then incorporated into the banner layout. Congratulations to students Megan Means '13, Aimee Gilmore '13 and Ayashe Jamison '16! |

So far, we’ve featured a fashion design alumna who is a TV stylist, a student who raises and shows Angora rabbits and a faculty member who spent a year and a half experimenting with Marcellus Shale as a material for sculpting, among others.
