New York Trip to See Moe Brooker Exhibition Please join President Cecelia Fitzgibbon and fellow friends of Moore for a New York City trip to see Special Assistant to the President Professor Moe Brooker’s current exhibition, Present Futures, Here and Now at June Kelly Gallery on Thursday, August 1. The proposed itinerary for the day includes visiting the exhibition, exploring SoHo, taking a group tour of the New Museum and more. The cost of the trip is $125 per person/$200 per couple and includes transportation and beverages/snacks. Peace Paper Project Under the direction of Moore student Victoria Lattanzi, a Frieda Fehrenbacher Leadership Fellowship recipient, the college will be hosting the first-ever Peace Paper Workshop in Philadelphia next week. It will consist of taking articles of clothing that hold significant meaning and turning them into paper. There will be a 2-day free workshop for the Moore community on July 15 & 18. It will be a panty pulping workshop. However, if participants would feel more comfortable using other articles of clothing that have significance they are welcome to use them. Faculty Activities Heather Ujiie is having a busy summer. Ujiie, adjunct professor of Foundation, Fashion Design, Fine Arts (Textiles), and Interior Design, is exhibiting work in “Nature’s Mark” at the Hunderton Art Museum in Clinton, NJ through September 8, 2013. She has also been selected as one of two artists for the 2013/14 residency program at Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library in Delaware. READ MORE ABOUT HEATHER’S SUMMER PLANS |

Raptor, Marc Dickerson, 2012 | Film al Fresco Indie film and food trucks will converge once again this week with Film al Fresco, an outdoor film series presented by The Galleries at Moore. On Friday July 12, the 2013 summer series will dish up free independent films by Philadelphia-area filmmakers and tasty street snacks from local food trucks at dusk (approximately 8 pm.) The films, including Raptor by Marc Dickerson, will be shown on a large outdoor screen in Aviator Park, across the street from Moore, located at 1916 Race Street.
