MFA Studio Conversations Moore’s MFA in Studio Art program in cooperation with The Galleries at Moore will host its second 2012-13 Studio Conversation series on November 1, 6:30 – 7:30 pm with Kate Bright and Barry Schwabsky. Kate Bright teaches at the Slade School of Fine Art, University College, London. Barry Schwabsky is art critic for The Nation and co-editor of international reviews for Artforum. Open Studio Night Junior and senior fine arts and photography & digital arts students are hosting an Open Studio Night on November 8, 6 – 9 pm on the 5th and 6th floors of Sarah Peter Hall. Students will open their studios for tours to the public. This is a unique opportunity to see art students’ work-in-progress; view and collect the work of emerging artists and gain a glimpse into the art school experience. Deborah Warner ’69 Scholarship Fund Moore College of Art & Design has established the Deborah Warner ’69 Scholarship Fund in honor of Moore alumnae and professor Deborah Warner ’69, who passed away in July. In addition to being an accomplished professional artist, Warner was a dedicated teacher and mentor to many students and alumnae. Fashion Incubator Moore has been invited to partner with Macy’s Center City for the second year of the Philadelphia Fashion Incubator program. A Moore alumna will be chosen as one of four emerging Designers-in-Residence and will be provided with dedicated studio space at the flagship Macy’s store as well as business support.
